In short

  • This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising.
  • When you write to us, we use what you send to reply and to do the work you asked for.
  • Data you give us as a client is used for your project only. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

Who we are

This website, buddhyantra.com, is run by Buddhyantra LLP (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we handle through the website, through our conversations with you, and while we deliver services to our clients, and what you can ask us to do with it.

For anything in this policy, write to hello@buddhyantra.com.

This website

  • No cookies, analytics or tracking. The site has no sign-in, no forms that send data, and no tracking scripts.
  • Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when it fetches them. Google's handling is described in its own privacy policy.
  • Hosting logs. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub records the IP address, requested page, time and browser of each visit to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Email links. The “Start a conversation” buttons open your own email app. We receive only what you choose to send.

When you contact us

If you write to us or speak to us, we keep your name, contact details, your organisation and what you told us, so we can reply, prepare a proposal and keep a record of what was agreed.

Client projects and training

When we build software, run AI consulting or deliver training for an organisation, we may handle personal data that the organisation holds, for example records of citizens, customers or staff. In that case:

  • We act on the organisation's instructions, as set out in our agreement with it, and use the data only for that work.
  • The organisation decides what is collected and how long it is kept. Questions about that data are best sent to it first.
  • We give access only to the people on our team who need it, and return or delete the data when the work ends, unless the agreement or the law says otherwise.
  • We do not use client data to train AI models, and we do not send it to AI services unless the agreement allows it.

For training sessions, we keep attendees' names and email addresses to run the session and send materials.

Our products

Crosdesk and FilesTrace have their own policies. For Crosdesk, see the privacy policy at crosdesk.com. When either product is installed on an organisation's own servers, that organisation controls the data in it and we do not receive it.

How we use it, and why

  • To answer you and provide the services you asked for.
  • To meet our agreements with clients.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.
  • To keep things secure, including protecting the website from abuse.

We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of providers, such as our email provider, cloud hosting and GitHub, each only to provide its service to us. We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to a successor if the business is transferred, under this policy. These providers may process data outside India. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards it allows for such transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep correspondence as long as we need it to follow up and to keep a record of agreements, and accounting records as long as the law requires. Client data is kept for the term of the engagement and then returned or deleted as the agreement sets out.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and the principle of least privilege. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law require.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it erased, or withdraw any consent you gave. You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Write to hello@buddhyantra.com and we will reply within a month, or sooner where the law requires.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This website and our services are meant for organisations, not children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
